Sarah KeebleChair of Governors
Sarah Keeble
Sarah Keeble is a dedicated and experienced Chartered Accountant and Tax Advisor, bringing a wealth of financial expertise to her role as a governor at Bedonwell School. She has proudly served on the governing body since December 2019, contributing valuable insight and strategic oversight to support the school's continued growth and success.In addition to her governance role, until recently Sarah also served as the Treasurer for FOBS, the school's Parent Teacher Association, where she played a key part in managing funds and supporting initiatives that enhance the educational experience for all pupils.Even though Sarah doesn't have any children at Bedonwell anymore, she remains deeply committed to the school community. Her ongoing involvement reflects her passion for education and her belief in the importance of strong governance and active parental engagement in shaping a positive future for the school. -
Faye BartholomewStaff Governor
Faye Bartholomew
Faye is a dedicated Staff Governor at Bedonwell Infant and Junior School, where she also serves as a passionate and experienced teacher. Having taught at Bedonwell Junior School for 17 years, she brings a deep understanding of the school's ethos and community—further enriched by her personal connection as a former pupil.
Throughout her teaching career, Faye has taught across Years 3 to 6, taken on the role of Year Head, and currently leads the Geography curriculum. Her commitment to education is rooted in a strong belief in the power of a creative and engaging curriculum—one that inspires curiosity and leaves a lasting impact on every child.
She feels privileged to be in a profession where she can make a meaningful difference in children's lives—not only academically, but also emotionally and socially. As a Governor, Faye is keen to use her extensive classroom experience to support the continued development of the school, ensuring it remains a nurturing and forward-thinking environment for all pupils.

Kyla BelangerCommunity Governor
Kyla Belanger
Kyla moved from Canada to London in 2012 to teach English at a large secondary school in Croydon. Over the years, she progressed through a range of leadership roles including middle and senior leadership, and Director of Teacher Training, where she championed staff development and contributed to outstanding pupil outcomes. During this time, she was also elected as staff governor, representing the teacher voice at board level.Kyla now serves as Head of ECF and NPQs for the South and East of England, including London, at the National Institute of Teaching. She played a central role in developing the Institute's Early Career Framework programme, launched nationally in 2023. With over 13 years' experience in education, Kyla has dedicated her career to developing teachers and leaders across all phases and settings.

Francis CoyneCommunity Governor
Francis Coyne
Francis is passionate about education with over 15 years of experience working in a variety of roles in further education at London South East Colleges (LSEC). He brings with him a solid foundation of Quality Assurance processes, digital proficiency in managing Virtual Learning Environments and experience of developing teaching, learning and assessment with lecturers. Francis formally was staff Governor at the College at the time of the merger and is keen to offer support to develop governance within the wider LSEAT group and to act as a "critical friend" to the school leadership.Francis is especially interested in driving innovation through digital tools, and contribute to reducing workloads, personalising the learning experience and supporting learners to flourish and achieve their full potential, regardless of their social background or ability. -
Murewa FagunCommunity Governor
Murewa Fagun
Murewa is an actuarial professional with a strong academic foundation, holding a degree in Computer Science from King's College London. With a unique blend of analytical expertise and a deep commitment to education, Murewa brings both technical insight and heartfelt dedication to supporting young learners.
Over the years, Murewa has actively mentored and tutored students in mathematics, helping them build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and achieve meaningful academic progress. Their passion for education is rooted in a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of background.
As a former Widening Participation Ambassador, Murewa worked closely with children from diverse communities, inspiring educational aspiration and promoting inclusion. This experience reinforced their commitment to early learning and the importance of creating supportive environments where all pupils feel valued and empowered.
Now serving as a school governor, Murewa is eager to contribute positively to the school's development, championing initiatives that foster academic excellence, equity, and holistic growth. Their goal is to help shape a learning community where every child can reach their full potential.

Joanna MorrisStaff Governor
Joanna Morris
Jo is a dedicated Staff Governor at Bedonwell Infant and Junior School, where she has proudly served as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for the past nine years. Each morning, she brings energy and enthusiasm to Diamond Class, fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for her pupils.
In addition to her teaching role, Jo is the school's Travel Plan Coordinator, leading initiatives that promote Road Safety and Sustainable Travel. Her commitment to creating safer, greener journeys for children and families reflects her deep care for the wellbeing of the school community and the environment.
Jo brings a wealth of governance experience to her current role, having previously served as a Staff Governor at another school and as a Parent Governor during her child's time in primary education. Her broad perspective, combined with her passion for education and community development, equips her with the insight and drive to help steer Bedonwell towards a bright and successful future.

James ObazeeCommunity Governor
James Obazee
James Obazee is an experienced Chartered Accountant with over a decade of success in accounting, auditing, and financial strategy. A proven expert in financial reporting, compliance, and operational finance, he has worked across diverse sectors including banking, manufacturing, FMCG, and consulting.He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics along with other certifications like AAT, ICAN, and CIMA. James combines strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of governance and business performance. With a track record of optimizing financial systems, enhancing internal controls and financial reporting, he brings both audit discipline and commercial insight to the trustee role. He is also passionate about automation, mentoring future finance leaders, and leveraging data-driven decision-making, James is very committed to supporting sustainable growth and robust governance.
